How to Rotate the Inside Dryer Plate to Match the Dryer Plug
This guide is intended for customers who have a Whirlpool one-piece stacked washer and dryer with an L-shaped prong at the bottom of the dryer cord. This situation is rare but does occur in approximately 1% of cases. To resolve this issue, you'll need to rotate the inside dryer plate 180 degrees.
Tools Needed
  • Screwdriver (#2 Robertson or large flat-head)

Instructions

Step 1: Gather Your ToolsEnsure you have a screwdriver on hand, either a #2 Robertson or a large flat-head.

Step 2: Disconnect PowerBefore beginning, disconnect the main power supply to the Coin Box to ensure a safe working environment.

Step 3: Remove Face Plate ScrewsLocate the 4 screws securing the Face Plate of the outlet. Using your screwdriver, carefully remove these screws and set them aside.

Step 4: Rotate the Face PlateGently grasp the Face Plate and rotate it 180 degrees. You can turn it either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on which direction is more convenient for you.

Step 5: Reattach the Face PlateAlign the holes of the rotated Face Plate with the screw holes on the outlet. Use the screws you set aside earlier to secure the Face Plate back in place.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully rotate the inside dryer plate, ensuring that the L-shaped prong is no longer at the bottom and matches the Whirlpool plug.
