Dryer Plug Too Big to Fit into Slot
Sometimes the plug doesn’t fit due to extra girth of the dryer plug wire just below the plug itself. This extra rubber can get in the way, so if your dryer plug doesn’t fit because of this, then the solution is to cut away the excess rubber to match the plug we have in our picture, making sure not to cut into the
wire itself. This is best done with utility knife that uses razor blades. To make cuts, place the base of the blade (closest part to the handle) on the rubber in the direction you would like to cut, and rock the blade back and forth until you have met the desired depth. Please do not try any slashing or stabbing motions as this is a very unsafe and non-productive way to make cuts.
